Desire

I had never thought of my heart as more than a commodity

A feature to pump blood around its empty vessel

Merely there to keep me alive.

That was until the moment I met you

Until the moment I kissed you

and my whole world collided.

You don’t realise the affect you have on me whilst you aren’t here

The anticipation of your touch against my skin,

Or how I crave your kiss – the taste of you on my lips

Making me weak

With desire and the need of having you wrapped around me.

Catching our breath, as you cradle me in your strong arms

A tender moment shared between two hearts

Both in desire and pursuit of greatness.
